Monday 9th – Friday 13th May 2022
In 2019 DMU started its project to decolonise the university, taking a whole-organisation approach. Since then, students, staff teams and colleagues across the university have worked on a wide variety of anti-racist projects, events and pieces of work. We still have much to do, but we shouldn’t lose sight of what we have all achieved so far.
In the week commencing 9th May 2022, the Decolonising DMU Team celebrated the progress of the first phase of this journey with a series of events which provided tips, tricks and takeaways to prompt attendees to think about, and practical suggestions to assist in, our decolonising journey as an institution.
